Now, I find that my disappointment has turned to fear. Fear that people will continue to vote against what are, in my view, their own best interests by re-electing the likes of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and NYC's Eric Adams----not to mention the entire Biden Administration. [They will also continue to provide "The View" with an audience so that Joy Behar can continue to say dumb things----one should need a license to be that stupid! (And Sonny (or Sunny) what's her name is not far behind.]
People seem to have forgotten that on his first day in office, President Biden cancelled the Keystone pipeline---leading DIRECTLY to the high gas prices we all complain about. Putin's invasion of Ukraine, which happened months later, had little to do with it no matter how many times Mr. Biden claims that it did.
Then, in a seeming effort to undo anything with Trump's name on it, he (Biden) backed away from the "Stay in Mexico" policy which kept illegals on the other side of the border and had buy-in from the President of Mexico.
And, after two years and no action from his "Border Czar", he (Biden) FINALLY went to south Texas himself. But, did he go to Eagle Pass or Del Rio? No, of course not----rather, he went to El Paso where the Democrat mayor had cleaned up the streets and removed the illegals so he wouldn't have to see them!!
As an adjunct to these moves, we have "The Inflation Reduction Act", which, by ignoring the advice from economists that uncontrolled government spending causes inflation, actually made inflation worse and has now produced $5-$6/doz eggs, when I used to pay $1.38/doz or less.-----The Biden/Democrat solution to EVERYTHING is to throw uncontrolled money at the perceived problem. My question is: How can people not notice that there is a cause and effect relationship between these actions and results?
In more recent news, the administration is virtue signalling by announcing plans to send 31 M-1 Abrams main battle tanks to Ukraine to help restore their borders. I know many of you support that maneuver, but I have an alternate plan and a closer border that I am more concerned about. How about we take those 31 tanks as a start, and task organize a Combined Task Force built around the 3rd ACR at fort Hood and Mexican Forces to go after the cartels, clean house south of Texas and REALLY secure the border. For the press, we can even say it's a continuation of the 1916 "Punitive Expedition" against Pancho Villa!
P.S. I'll work at getting more consistent in posting comments this year'
